1bn mobile phones will be sold in 2008, they are starting to be the tool people rely on, over things like laptops etc
virtual worlds or the 3d web are clues as to what the web might look like soon
mainstream in 4-5 years
- massively multi player educational games
- emerging forms of publication/ new forms of scholarship
there is a wiki that was used to generate the list, details to come. I have put this up now, as Andrew M really is a demon blogger and I just wanted to get something up before him just this once.

You beat me. Didn't see you. This session was packed out. The only things I will add are you can download the horizon report for yourself now from http://www.nmc.org/horizon
and the audience voted to select one topic and they chose... virtual worlds. People here are caught by SL in particular.

I spent much of yesterday afternoon reading the 2007 Horizon Report, and chasing the references. As Susannah has said, it seems that we know what we are doing
